DOT/CDL physicals are required at least every 24 months to ensure commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver ability and safety. All LABS TO GO physical exams are performed by NRCME certified & experienced medical examiners. Our examiners are fully trained, tested, and certified in professional medical examination; specifically in relation and adherence to FMCSA new guidelines effective May 21, 2014. WHAT TO EXPECT

Your thorough physical exam will last around 20-30 minutes and consists of the following: Background Medical, Vision screening, Hearing screening, Height and weight, Blood pressure reading, Pulse, Breathing rate, Temperature Urinalysis Additional testing as appropriate Please have any specialized medical cards or documentation requests available at the time of your visit. A medical examiner’s certificate will be provided at appointment completion.

Identity

DNA Identity testing is the most accurate way to identify and distinguish individuals. Securely store a sample of your child’s DNA. This genetic fingerprint can help identify missing children. Available for chain of custody or personal use. DNA is stored at a secure third-party facility for optimum security. Adult DNA banking can be useful for paternity testing, estate claims, and identification purposes. Recommended for those in high-risk professions. DNA is stored at a secure third-party facility for optimum security. Available for both children and adults, a DNA profile is a document that contains identifying genetic traits. Profiles are often used for identification purposes, and can also be helpful in settling estates or inheritances. DNA profiles also help reveal any inherited traits or characteristics, including disease. DNA Banking and Profiling services may be bundled together. This combined test option includes a Typing Report which includes a person’s allele sizes, or genetic profile, and a Banking Certificate that states the terms of storage. Designed to answer any suspicions that one’s baby may have been inadvertently switched at the hospital. Many mothers have voiced their concern at the hospital, but do not have the option to be sure. Immigration

DNA testing is sometimes needed during the immigration process to help prove identity and biologic relationship to a current citizen. LABS TO GO can help make the immigration process easier. We provide the AABB-accredited DNA testing services required by immigration, and can provide services in over 168 countries. Domestic testing: LABS TO GO collects a copy of all immigration paperwork. Sample collection can be arranged at your home or place of business. International testing: To begin, LABS TO GO collects a copy of all immigration paperwork, payment, and travel dates. We provide all necessary testing supplies and instructions to the U.S. Embassy in the country where testing is needed. The U.S. Embassy will then contact the subject for test scheduling. Note: Due to limited availability, Embassy testing does take longer than domestic testing. Additional fees may apply. DNA sample results are processed within 3-14 business days (depending on the nature of the test). Test results are legally defensible and will be issued directly to the U.S. petitioner and appropriate immigration authorities.

TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) Monitors and detects thyroid problems. Can detect disorders that include hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, and help determine when physician intervention may be recommended. UA (Urinalysis) Looks at several different factors to determine overall well-being, and detect kidney problems, diabetes, and urinary bladder disease. Test factors include: color/appearance, bilirubin, glucose, ketones, leukocyte esterase, nitrite, occult blood, pH, protein, sediment examination, and urobilinogen. Test Overview: Verifies women’s hormone and reproductive levels against normal. Test Components: Cortisol Tests cortisol levels in the blood. Produced by the adrenal gland, cortisol helps maintain stress levels and control weight gain. Dehypoepiandrosterone Sulfate (D-HEAS) Measures D-HEAS levels in the blood. D-HEAS is a hormone necessary for the production of testosterone in men and estrogen in women. Test results are indicative of overall adrenal gland and ovarian performance. Estradiol A form of estrogen, estradiol testing is mainly used to measure ovarian function in women, but can also be used to assess adrenal function and detect some genetic defects. Estrogen Measures overall estrogen levels that are necessary for female reproduction. Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Measures LH levels in the blood to determine fertility and to measure menstruation patterns. The luteinizing hormone helps regulate menstruation and ovulation. Progesterone Measures female fertility, reproduction capabilities, and ovarian production and cycles. Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) Necessary for menstrual regulation and consistent production of eggs. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) Monitors and detects thyroid problems. Physical Exam

DOT physicals are required at least every 24 months to ensure commercial motor vehicle (CMV) driver ability and safety. Our examiners are fully trained, tested, and certified in professional medical examination; specifically in relation and adherence to FMCSA guidelines. Please provide doctor orders prior to collection, in order for the lab to bill your insurance. Orders may be faxed or emailed, but must be received prior to appointment time. Standing orders are accommodated at a low, contract rate. No doctor’s order or insurance? LABS TO GO comes to you for your collection service. Immediately after, specimens are delivered to the local or preferred laboratory for testing. Your doctor will receive the lab results within 24 hours of the collection. Stat collection is available, for an additional fee.

Who is Eligible?

Our mobile services were designed with homebound, disabled, and limited mobility patients in mind. However, many people with busy schedules have also enjoyed the convenience of our on-location services. For further convenience, we offer contract options to insurance companies, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and government. Walk-in Phlebotomy service is also available at our Virginia Beach facility for a collection fee.

Paramedical Exams

Paramedical Exams are used by most life insurance companies to determine the overall condition of one’s health. For most people, Paramedical Exams are required before a policy can be issued. LABS TO GO provides mobile and reliable Paramedical Exams. We are approved to provide Paramedical Exams for any life insurance company, and use the electronic and interactive questioning options preferred by carriers. Our electronic submission feature allows us to provide more accurate and faster results. Our exam services are available in all 50 states. LABS TO GO provide mobile services and will travel to the location (home, office, etc.) that is most convenient and comfortable for the applicant. Once completed, electronic exam results can be instantly submitted to insurance carrierss that accept GoParamed. Our Paramedical Exam results are guaranteed to be accurate, complete, and in good order. This means no more missed signatures, testing errors, or follow up visits. Paper exams are available for carriers that do not yet accept electronic submission. Note: Lab results are confidential. The requesting insurance underwriter receive lab results. LABS TO GO does not maintain or receive a copy.

Paternity Testing

LABS TO GO conducts legal and informational paternity testing. Legal paternity test means it will stand up in court for custody disputes. Informational paternity test is for your own personal knowledge and do not stand up in court. Legal paternity test $325 and Informational paternity test $250. Mobile service additional $25. Legal paternity test results can be used for many things, including (but not limited to): Adoption, Birth Certificates, Child Custody, Child Support, Court Orders, Estate Settlements, Immigration, Tax Forms, Wills. Paternity testing can be performed at our walk-in Virginia Beach location 5541 Parliament Drive Ste# 203 Virginia Beach 23462 Mon-Fri 7A-7P, Saturdays 7A-2P, or through our mobile service at your home, hospital, court, jail or workplace. Additional fee for jail and court collections. Contact us today 757-490-8888. Results are emailed within 3-4 business days from collection. Results needed in 2 business days may be requested for an additional fee. Results can also be faxed or mailed at your request. A child and alleged father’s DNA is collected to determine paternity. Though not required, results are strongest when the mother also participates in the study. Results have been proven to be up to 100 times more accurate when all three are tested. Involvement from the mother also allows her access to the case, results and documentation. A sample of DNA of the child is compared against that of the alleged father. Samples are taken from a cheek (buccal) swab, which has been proven as effective as a blood sample for this kind of testing. Buccal swabs are simple to collect, and are widely used in the majority of paternity testing today.

Vaccinations

LABS TO GO provides first time, seasonal, and booster immunizations.< Available in October, for protection from influenza or “the flu”. Getting an annual flu shot can reduce your chance of infection by 60%. This shot is recommended for everyone, but specifically those with a weakened immune system or those that work with others who might be infected. Get your shot early to improve your chances of avoiding flu symptoms, missed work, and costly doctor bills. The Hep B immunization is a series of three shots given over a six-month period. This immunization protects against hepatitis B, which can cause serious and permanent liver damage. HepB is safe for everyone, and is specifically recommended for children. The shot series is only required once per lifetime. Proves protection against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis. The Tdap vaccine fights bacteria that could cause any of these three illnesses. Tdap shots are recommended for anyone that has never had one, then as a booster shot every ten years. The varicella immunization is available to any healthy adults who have never had the chicken pox.
